Yamamoto® Research hair, skin and nails SUPERIOR is a nutritional supplement based on vitamins and minerals with amino acids, collagen, bioflavonoids, coenzyme Q10 and bamboo extract.

Vitamin C contributes to the physiological formation of collagen for the normal functioning of the skin.

The presence of bioflavonoids, which is a complex of plant pigments with a special beneficial effect (see Hesperidin), has been chosen to act in a synergistic combination with vitamin C, favoring its absorption and thus providing important protection against damage caused by free radicals.

Zinc is a trace element of great support, an antioxidant and plays a significant role in maintaining the physiological health of the scalp. In fact, it is widely used for maintaining healthy and elastic skin and for nail strength.

Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal and more robust hair and skin, while copper contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and hair pigmentation.

The presence of precious hydrolyzed collagen, supported by hyaluronic acid, is of primary importance for this type of supplement, as collagen is the main fibrous protein of the skin. Collagen fibers provide the infrastructure for elastin, which maintains skin elasticity, and for hyaluronic acid, which retains moisture and thus provides greater hydration and tone.

Coenzyme Q10 (or ubiquinol) is necessary for the proper functioning of many organs and for the implementation of numerous chemical reactions that take place in the body. In fact, it helps supply cells with energy, acts as an antioxidant and strengthens the immune system.

Finally, bamboo extract, obtained from the stems and leaves of the plant, has a significant content of plant silicon dioxide, and thanks to this, it acts by providing hydration and elasticity to the skin and hair.

However, we know that the natural production of collagen does not remain constant with age, and indeed from the age of 25, a slow but inexorable decrease in the production of this protein begins, which causes a progressive weakening and collapse of the structure of the epidermis.

When skin cells become less active, the collagen network, which gives it firmness and structure, breaks down. The skin becomes thinner and dehydrated, with the appearance of wrinkles that become more pronounced. Even nails are made of collagen, and its lack therefore leads to their weakening. And the hair itself needs collagen, which, when absorbed, the hair follicles use to produce keratin, necessary for healthy and fluffy hair.

Collagen molecules provide beneficial moisturizing and regenerative effects on the hair fibers, retain water in the hair preventing dehydration and favor an increase in the diameter of the hair, making it visibly fuller and thicker.
